To interact with SURCHI — whether acquiring tokens, connecting to the protocol app, staking, or voting in governance — you need a Solana-compatible wallet. A Solana wallet is a non-custodial application that stores your private keys locally and lets you sign transactions on the Solana blockchain. This guide walks you through choosing a wallet, setting it up securely, and connecting it to the SURCHI protocol.

Phantom

The most widely used Solana wallet, with a clean interface and strong ecosystem support. Available as a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge) and as a mobile app (iOS and Android). Phantom supports token swaps, NFTs, staking, and hardware wallet integration — making it the go-to choice for most users interacting with the Solana ecosystem.

Solflare

A feature-rich Solana wallet with advanced native staking support and detailed validator management tools. Available as a browser extension and mobile app. Solflare is a strong choice for users who want granular control over staking and governance participation alongside their regular DeFi activity.
Both wallets are fully compatible with the SURCHI protocol. If you already have either wallet installed, you can skip directly to Connecting to SURCHI.

Creating Your Wallet

1

Install Your Chosen Wallet Extension

Navigate to the official website of your chosen wallet — phantom.app or solflare.com — and download the browser extension or mobile app.Always install wallets directly from the official website or from the official browser extension store listing linked from that site. Verify that the publisher name matches the official project before installing.
2

Create a New Wallet and Secure Your Seed Phrase

Open the wallet application and select Create New Wallet (or equivalent). The wallet will generate a seed phrase — a sequence of 12 or 24 words that is the master key to your wallet and all funds within it.Secure your seed phrase immediately:
  • Write it down on paper (do not screenshot or store digitally)
  • Store it in a physically secure location — a safe, safety deposit box, or similar
  • Consider making two copies stored in separate locations
  • Never enter it into any website, app, or form unless you are deliberately restoring your wallet on a new device
After recording your seed phrase, complete the wallet setup by creating a local password for the app.
3

Fund Your Wallet with SOL

Your wallet is ready to receive tokens. To interact with SURCHI and pay Solana network fees, you will need SOL in your wallet.Acquire SOL from a centralized exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, or similar), then:
  1. Copy your Solana wallet address from the wallet app (it begins with a string of letters and numbers)
  2. Initiate a withdrawal from the exchange to that address
  3. Select Solana (SOL) as the network — do not use Ethereum or BSC
The SOL will appear in your wallet within a few minutes of the exchange processing the withdrawal.
4

Connect Your Wallet to the SURCHI App

Navigate to the official SURCHI application at surchi.io. Locate the Connect Wallet button — typically in the top-right corner of the interface.Click it, select your wallet (Phantom or Solflare), and approve the connection request that appears in your wallet extension or app. You will now be connected and can access all SURCHI protocol features.
Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone — including SURCHI support staff. The SURCHI team will never ask for your seed phrase under any circumstances. Store it offline in a secure physical location. Anyone who obtains your seed phrase has complete, irrevocable control over your wallet and all funds within it. There is no recovery mechanism if your seed phrase is compromised.

Connecting to SURCHI

Once your wallet is funded and installed, connecting to the SURCHI protocol takes a few seconds:
  1. Visit surchi.io and open the app
  2. Click Connect Wallet in the navigation bar
  3. Select Phantom or Solflare from the wallet selector
  4. A popup will appear in your wallet — review the permissions and click Connect to approve
  5. Your wallet address will appear in the interface, confirming a successful connection
You can now access the SURCHI dashboard, interact with the Sentinels via the Natural Language Interface, manage staking, and participate in governance.
For maximum security, consider using a hardware wallet like Ledger when holding significant amounts of SURCHI or other assets. Both Phantom and Solflare support Ledger integration, allowing you to sign transactions on the physical device without ever exposing your private key to an internet-connected computer.
